Paterson’s Cast has been steadily improving over the last few years and now offers a good long run of streamy water which fishes best in lowish water. It’s tail end is always worth a cast as it is the first resting place for fish after their long climb through thin water from the Stones Pool below. The pool is a gentle stroll from the Boat Inn so it makes a fine, after-lunch cast!
